Last season was all about marsala. As we have transitioned into calmer tones such as rose quartz and serenity I have had trouble letting the color marsala go. It has such a rich warm romantic feel that exudes the feelings of love and companionship.
I have also become infatuated with including food into centerpieces. It adds a unique texture and element to designs that are usually overlooked or unthought-of.
Imagine a vineyard inspired tablespace with candle light, rustic vessels, and flowers to die for. I love the idea of a beautiful sahara rose, majolica spray rose, and a polo rose with a mix of lush foliages and pops of deep wine colored floral accents. Some of my favorites are dahlia, red charm peonies, scabiosa, ranunculus, a calla lilies.
The addition of raspberries, figs, and artichokes will elevate the design and add to the theme of the event.
Food, wine, and the luxury of flowers seem like such a dream. Be inspired by what you eat and drink. Let your décor compliment your meal.
